scary unidentified animal on even more scary unidentified flashy background is right! LOL. believe it or not......you're partly right about the sun/heat part. as for the sweet potatoes, you may be right on that count, too :P looks like they may have killed him from the expression on his face.

hey em - it would be the latter, as in profession. the plot thickens, hehe.
answer coming soon!! keep checking. (have to write up the answer!)
It's a baby raccoon which you have hired to pose in your cooking photos like the little monkey. His first job will be to make the Japanese peas you were tellen us about but never made! Or maybe he's gunna eat those green ropes you bought the other day.
I think this is an animal that got inside your kitchen, then you discovered it and you had a gun at your hand, the animal saw you and is scared to death begging for mercy hahaha. It seems to be expresing please BB!! pleaseee!! let me eat the crumbs I find on the floor but don't kill me!!. Even his belly looks full and its rubbing it.
aja - lol, i have a video game with a bandicoot! check the answer, i posted it! good try but, ummm, NO.

roberto - LOL. it will teach him to steal and not ask nicely for something to eat!! ;)) where's my gun? lol, fortunately for him, the only gun i have is a cookie one.

do you have a question, comment, complaint constructive criticism or request? i'd love to hear from you. feel free to email me (click icon) or leave a comment .... anonymous comments mean not even i know who you are, so don't be shy! you know you wanna..... LOL.

a canadian, food-obsessed guy who loves to research, read, write and talk about all things culinary. well, most of the time • collecting recipes, clippings and cookbooks as well as kitchen paraphernalia has long been an 'illness'. blogging about it is my cheap version of therapy • many of the recipes & foods i include may relate to jewish cuisine but my goal is not to maintain a blog which solely focuses on that aspect. so .... no pork, shellfish or mixed meat & dairy here but a myriad of otherwise just as delicious & mouth-watering recipes and information about what enters our gullets • apart from the comestible, posts often include bytes of other interesting finds, quite unrelated to the world of food — a latest earth-shattering or just curious news event, music, humour, the internet, our non-human counterparts & the other oddities of our world will sometimes be featured in the spotlight.

Is it a polecat of some sort? Are you going to get one?...
Is it the infamous Montreal Bankrobber Ferret, discovered hiding out in a bundle of snakebeans early yesterday?
OK, you're scaring me, BB. I think it's a ferret of some kind, but...why? (And is it even alive?)
I'm just hoping it has nothing to do with cooking! :-b
