Is it a polecat of some sort? Are you going to get one?...

Is it the infamous Montreal Bankrobber Ferret, discovered hiding out in a bundle of snakebeans early yesterday?

OK, you're scaring me, BB. I think it's a ferret of some kind, but...why? (And is it even alive?)

I'm just hoping it has nothing to do with cooking! :-b

rosa - i think i'll pass on the idea of owning one of these!! not a pole cat though i'm sure some would consider it as one!! :) good guess.

ostara - LOL! you wouldn't be too far off with its connection to snakebeans. i'm sure s/he likes them :D among other things. but no, this little one didn't come with the bundle!

LOL @ emily! - oh, it's very alive. at least, in this picture. it is kind of scary looking, especially with its mouth open :O

you could say it's a very important kritter in the culinary world and an important animal in YOUR world, ms. devoto ;b

scary unidentified animal on even more scary unidentified flashy background is right! LOL. believe it or not......you're partly right about the sun/heat part. as for the sweet potatoes, you may be right on that count, too :P looks like they may have killed him from the expression on his face.

thanks for your comment and visits. hope to "hear" from you again ;-]

hey em - it would be the latter, as in profession. the plot thickens, hehe.

answer coming soon!! keep checking. (have to write up the answer!)

awww, burekaboy...why is that on your food blog? looks like a stunned raccoon to me...and I mean, stunned in the most *newfie* sense as possible.

It's a baby raccoon which you have hired to pose in your cooking photos like the little monkey. His first job will be to make the Japanese peas you were tellen us about but never made! Or maybe he's gunna eat those green ropes you bought the other day.

pammie - awww, poor little guy, everyone figures he's a raccoonlet. i think he's prolly swinging from the green ropes as i write :D

don't you worry about the wasabi peas, they're in the plans. haven't forgotten about it.
