Weekend Cat Blogging — no. 74
my burmese kitten is addicted to diet pepsi.
for some odd reason he starts to go crazy when he sees or smells it. if i do not hide it, he will go after the can or as you can see, stick his head right in the glass to get at it. at the time of this picture, i had gone into another room and forgotten to move the glass. when i had returned, he had drank about 1/3 of what was left in the glass but regretted it because he got his head stuck deep down. it was far enough in the glass for enough time for me to grab my camera sitting next to me to snap this shot.

unfortunately, i didn't get the picture when he lifted his head up and tried to pretend he was a horse! i think he was a bit shocked that his head was lodged in this little vacuum he created. curiosity and the desire for all things tasty will get you in trouble all the time.
bad boy.
thanks to lali of lali et cie on the famous côte d'azur in france for hosting. ''catten" <--(half cat/half kitten at this point) should be proud his debut was announced in such an exotic locale!
Oh how adorable. You can't get mad...
ReplyDeleteThey do have interesting ideas as to what is edible. Hagia loves olives and lemongrass. Ophelia goes nuts for chocolate (and bell peppers). Of course, my Beanie is chicken-obsessed. The exbf had a cat who loved Hagen Daaz coffee ice cream.
Very cute cats.
j
you kitties are crazy with "olives" and ... corn!
ReplyDeleteI hope it is not to cold in Canada... ;)
hi jasmine - he's a handful but cute and always entertaining. sounds like yours enjoy quite the variety of edibles. mine will practically eat anything. ;p
ReplyDeletehi lali - bienvenue et merci pour votre commentaire. il fait plus froid içi ces derniers jours mais on n'a pas encore eu de la neige! ça arrive bientôt, j'imagine. brrrr.
My Torti doesn't really like Coke but is really interersted in the ice cubes. I have given up drinking Coke with ice because invariable my cat ends up putting her paws in it to try and get at the ice cube!
ReplyDeletehi d - thanx for stopping by. yikes! paws in my drinks. i think i'd end up using a kid's sippie cup to get around that one or at least one of those coffee travel cups with the lids!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Poor kitty. Sam is also food and drink obsessed, his favs being yogurt, cranberry juice, cantaloupe, and strawberries. He's very careful about where he puts his head, though. If the whiskers don't have clearance, he's not goin' there!
ReplyDeleteostara - your sam sounds like he has a lot of choices! i don't think my kitten realized his head was going to be stuck like that so i will have to pass along sam's whisker rule to him. i had a cat before that LOVED yogurt & canteloupe, too ;p thanx for visiting & the comment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute kitty. Tiggy is also obsessed with sticking her face in my glasses. If i leave the room and come back, I usually look at my drink and think to myself, "Was there a kitten face or kitty-litter paw in that glasss????"
ReplyDeletehi sarah - glad to hear mine isn't the only one who does this! i haven't caught him paw-dipping but if i ever did, i think i'd have to dump my drink and fast! who knows what he was up to the times i wasn't there to witness his pranks. i shudder to think! thanks for the comment and dropping by.
ReplyDeleteHow did Catten get his head out of the glass? Is that the same cat in both pictures? The top cat looks brown and the bottom cat looks black. Thank you for posting this weekend. Hope you will return next weekend for WCB # 75 hosted by http://www.skeezixthecat.com/scratchingpost/
ReplyDeleteBonnie & Miss Ellie in Virginia
hi bonnie - it's called bad photographic technique! he is actually a very dark brown [called sable in the burmese world of cats], almost halfway between the two pix. he is a little overexposed in the first one due to the flash.
ReplyDeleteto get the cup off, he pulled at it with his paws while shaking his head. lucky thing i was there to grab the glass. i guess it was good to the last drop!
i hope to participate again next week. thanx for the link and stopping by.
Maybe Pepsi has found their new posterboy? He's a cutie:)
ReplyDeleteDiet Pepsi? Haha.... is he addicted to normal pepsi as well? Or Coke?
ReplyDeletemore coffee - hehe smart cat, i'd go after the coffee too.
ReplyDeletepia - aw, thanx. :p he brings lots of smiles and is very loving. thanx for visiting.
sharlene - lol, haven't tried him on the regular stuff [yet]! thanx for the comment and stopping by.
